Ryan Gates, Team Principal 311RS Motorsport – “The core function of this program is to cultivate driver talent and deliver a platform for our drivers to win with Porsche, on and off track. With GPX on board, we’re prepared to offer a seat under the 311RS Motorsport tent in 2022.
GPX Lab’s professional-grade driving simulators and live-remote coaching services are massive tools we are proud to integrate into our program. And as we enter this next phase for 311RS Motorsport in 2022, partnership with GPX is crucial to executing our goals.
By adding GPX to our package, which consists of meticulous car prep by our Technical Partners at Goldcrest Motorsports, and our media partnership with TangentVector & Camden Thrasher, we’re confident the team will be sustainable & competitive for the long run in Porsche Carrera Cup North America.”
Leh Keen, Driver of the #12 311RS Motorsport Porsche 911 (992) GT3 Cup – “Yes 311RS Motorsport is a “new” team but really it’s a team that’s been years in the making and just waiting to come to life. The experience of the team members goes back 25+ years and has won at LeMans, Daytona and everywhere in between.
All that really showed when we were able to podium our very first race. We never let up on the momentum from there. Car prep and environment in the team is priority and it shows. You can see it and you can feel it when you drive the car. I always had confidence the car was good to go and I could really focus on driving.
Chemistry is important with a team and it is there with everyone involved. Just great vibes all around so I enjoyed being under the tent with the team just as much as driving the beautiful red Porsche 911 (992) GT3 Cup. It’s a new team with a old soul. But really after a year in Carrera Cup I don’t think of it as a new team I think of it as one of the best teams in the paddock. Because it is. So with what we were able to do in our first year we will take that and look to be even better for 2022.”
Jeff Segal, Founder of GPX Lab – “Partnership with 311RS Motorsport was a natural fit for GPX. Their program and the way they go about it aligns with GPX, so much so even our corporate colors are the same. I’ve known Leh for years having competed with him in Grand-Am & IMSA, and Ryan since 2014 during a trip to the Nurburgring. We are friends but take our respective crafts seriously, which is why it makes sense to launch this partnership.”
About GPX Lab – GPX was formed by championship winning racing drivers, engineers, automotive industry consultants and driving instructors with an ambition to utilize the latest computer simulation technology to revolutionize the driver-coaching processes and accelerate real-life on track performance.
